Marathon was worth the effort

MYSELF, my fiance (Craig Baxter) and friend (Annette Paterson) ran the Edinburgh Marathon (26.2 miles) earlier this year.

Our finishing time was four hours 26 minutes which we were delighted with as none of us are regular runners.

We ran for Marie Curie Cancer Care. We chose this charity as we lost a family member who died from cancer in November 2007. We managed to raise £2054 for our charity and would just like to say thank you to everyone who sponsored us and thank you to the family and friends who were there on the day to cheer us on.

When we ran through the finishing line we all said 'never again' but here we are four months down the line and already registered for next year’s marathon on May 31.s.
