SURELY it’s time for the Government to seriously consider a ban on fireworks and bonfires, except for authorised and controlled events.
The whole Guy Fawkes thing has turned into a farce and today’s youths, female as well as male, only see it as an excuse to be able to cause mayhem and disturb the peace.
Dozens of wheelie bins are also taken by these “yobs” to fuel the bonfires and its not only restricted to the 5th of November but for a few days leading to and also after.
Have ordinary public to put up with this, every year?
It seems that when making a complaint for this you are assigned an incident number. Are the police so busy trying to catch the culprits or busy checking car tax discs for an easy option.
The Government promised more police on the beat but there is very little sign of this. Then what about the firefighters, who are harassed at this time of year.
Does the Government not have any compassion for the people and pets who suffer at this time?
It’s time for a change.
