I RECENTLY attended an evening function at the Scottish Parliament for multiple sclerosis sufferers (and any others affected by the illness) to meet with their local MSP.
This was to raise awareness of MS and to talk about what is lacking in the area of social services.
I was very disappointed that no MSPs at all from the Lothians were available on the evening, especially as several people severely affected by the illness had made the effort to be there.
In fact, there was a very poor turnout of MSPs from all parties.
Conclusion? Watching the Scotland match on TV was far more important!
