Spin machine is laying all blame down south and shows double standards

FIONA Hyslop's recent reply dated Thursday, April 16 was poorly lacking substance and the support from R. Ritchie who clearly has tinted SNP spectacles maybe needs to reflect on the following facts.

People should remember that this Tartan Tory SNP spin machine wanted to make Scotland independent, if we think the economy and recession is tough now, where would we have been if the SNP agenda of independence went ahead in the last elections?

Who would have bailed us out? We would have had catastrophic levels of poverty, our country would have been in a state and the SNP know it.

As usual – all SNP MSP and councillors blame Westminster for their own failings.

The SNP say they are looking forward, but since they got elected they have spouted nothing but history, entrenched in self pity from hundreds of years ago.

These Nationalists still have to work out how they will appease thousands of Unionists opposed to the Nationalist agenda.

Mr Ritchie – is this really a great council?

Save St John’s Councillors – if you ask most people, they would agree these three were elected by fooling their electorate.

Elected on one issue, they side with the SNP on most issues, it's not rocket science, but this is a complete joke and gives this SNP led council no credibility.

Ellen Glass (SSJ) fighting for a war memorial for the people of Broxburn to remember the fallen (sounds great), yet she opposes the flying of the Union Flag every day at West Lothian Council buildings, while our Forces risk life and limb every day – double standards or what?

A so called Conservative and Unionist Councillor (Tom Kerr) given the top post of Provost by the Nationalists.

Our lads and lassies are giving everything in Iraq and Afghanistan and yet this Unionist Councillor would not support the daily raising of the flag of United Kingdom - you may think this is all fantasy and a joke, it's all evidence of this ‘fantastic’ council and they way they conduct their business.

Onto Fiona Hyslop now! Ronnie Smith, General Secretary of Scotland’s biggest teaching union, the EIS, warned:

“There is concern that the worst is yet to come as local authorities look to implement further cuts in their education budgets.”

If teacher numbers are in decline and class sizes have reduced over all of Scotland, how can we maintain quality teaching with less teachers?

How do the SNP plan to build schools in the future, where will the funds be coming from?

Do John Swinney and smug Alex Salmond actually do any calculations or is it convenient SNP policy/strategy just to blame England for all SNP failings?

It's time the Tartan Tory/SNP resigned themselves to the facts, we are a small country made stronger by our unity with the rest of the UK.

We are all growing tired of this "victim" mentality, which plays such a massive part in the SNP propaganda machine.

The SNP says " it's fast forward" in actual fact it's rewind, rewind, rewind!
