Don’t hold your breath in expectation of prosecutions over expenses

FURTHER to the relentless reports of daylight robbery committed by those who are undoubtedly above the law and bereft of the slightest modicum of decency and respect for the taxpayer, they who are no better than the slimy pickpocket who creeps through the unsuspecting crowd filling their pockets and sneaking off, hopefully, undetected.

There are no words left in the English dictionary which can adequately describe the actions of the pseudo politicians who shamelessly deny any wrong-doing. Those who do make repayments of fraudulent claims are, by their action, admitting to an unlawful act and should be prosecuted – but don’t hold your breath.

If recent history tells us anything, there will be no prosecutions. The whitewash brigade will go to work and those guilty of this heinous crime will emerge whiter than white.

At present we are into the local children’s gala and fete season, when those same reprobates will be in attendance to lavish praise on hard working organisers and committees while they claim their expenses.

This is a great opportunity for the vast majority of the population to show their disgust for this tawdry regime: don’t allow those pseudo politicians the oxygen of publicity that they crave.

Gala committees should take action and ban all of them from their events and stop them polluting our children and villages with their presence.
