Riverside Primary gets bank cash for new playground

RIVERSIDE Primary School recently received £1250 as part of the Royal Bank of Scotland’s ‘Supergrounds’ scheme.

The school applied for the grant with the help and support of Louise Boyle who is a Royal Bank employee and friend of Riverside.

The money has been put to great use with a team from RBS coming along to the school and revamping their eco garden to include compost bins, raised beds and decorative planters.

In addition to this, the team designed and made a striking mosaic, incorporating the school logo, to welcome visitors to the school.

Members of the school’s Green Team were on hand to help out with the makeover day.

Head teacher Margaret Leighton received the cheque from the RBS team.
