It was a thrilling event

DANCERS thrilled the people of West Lothian by taking part in a worldwide phenomenon.

Eleven members of the Baby Reece McGuire Memorial Fund had 11 participants doing the dance routine performed by Michael Jackson in his ‘Thriller’ video.

The event was part of the charity’s work to raise awareness of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.

And it was part of the worldwide record-breaking event which saw people in nine countries

join in with the attempt to break the world record for the largest simultaneous’Thriller’ dance.

The ‘Thriller’ dancers also took part in a competition held by Tesco on Sunday, October 26, and were placed second.

The dance will also be performed at the annual fundraiser for the Memorial Fund on Friday, October 31, in the Glenmavis Tavern, Bathgate, where special thanks will be given to everyone who has helped the charity raise money.

Kelly Drummond, secretary of the Baby Reece McGuire Memorial Fund, said: “Everyone is very proud to have taken part in this event and to be part of the Thrill the World.”
