Exhibition will highlight work of local groups

AN art exhibition and sale is being held on Friday, November 14 between 7pm and 9.30pm at St John's Hall, Manse Road in Torphichen.

This event is a joint venture between Torphichen and Westfield Primary Schools, Torphichen Kirk and the Magina Church in Kenya and work will be on the theme of light.

All proceeds will go towards the Light Project which is helping Magina, a village overlooking the Rift Valley in Kenya.

The project involves building a church in the village for 600 people, a health clinic and a nursery school for AIDS orphans.

Entry is free and there will be live music and refreshments along with cards, pottery, Kenyan banana leaf pictures and additional artwork for sale.

Anyone who can’t make the event in the evening is welcome to attend a preview of the exhibition from 4pm.
