West Lothian school leavers attend careers event

OVER 100 West Lothian school leavers recently met with local employers, training providers and colleges to help them decide their future.

During an event organised by Skills Development Scotland, pupils were given the chance to network with the likes of West Lothian and Forth Valley Colleges, as well as West Lothian Council and the Army. Local training providers such as BLES, DGM Training, Sibbald and Forward Training were also represented.

Skills Development Scotland’s Helen Garn explained: “All the pupils invited are potentially leaving school at Christmas.

“This event offered an ideal opportunity for pupils to meet with local providers and for employers, colleges and training providers to progress the recruitment process.
