WEST Lothian people are being called on to volunteer to help a leading charity.
Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland is appealing to people in West Lothian to sign up for one of the volunteer roles available locally.
Volunteers undertake roles including helping at a local group, supporting people who have had a stroke, driving people to and from a group or supporting them on a one-to-one basis in their homes or in the local community.
The charity funds vital medical research and provides a range of local services for people with chest, heart or stroke illness and their families including 11 Volunteer Stroke Service Groups meeting in Edinburgh and West Lothian.
There are also CHSS Stroke Support Nurses working in Edinburgh and Livingston and a Heart Failure Volunteer Service.
Call 0800 169 5139 or visit the charity's website www.chss.org.uk for more information on the charity.
