STAR STRUCK: X Factor winner Leon Jackson made a surprise visit back to his old school Whitburn Academy last week.
The young star went back to his roots to shoot part of BBC Alba’s Cuide Ri Cathy programme.
For the show, presenter Cathy MacDonald spent the day with Leon as he revisited some of the places he used to go before he found fame on the ITV talent show.
On his travels he also visited his old workplace, GAP, at MacArthur Glen and the Chicago Rock Café, where he first discovered his natural singing ability.
After visiting the school Leon was whisked away to Glasgow SECC where he was appearing on stage with another Scottish singing star, Sandi Thom.
Leon’s former guidance teacher, Anne Stokes, pictured above with him and depute rector Margaret Fallon, said after the visit: “Leon has not changed a single bit.
“He is still very down-to-earth and hasn’t let his fame go to his head”.
