PUPILS from Kirkhill Primary School in Broxburn, took first prize at Rencontres Théâtrales 2009.
The primary five/six class won the annual inter-scholastic drama competition in French, organised by the French Institute of Scotland.
The competition took place at Broughton High School in Edinburgh.
And the aim was promoting the learning of the French language in a creative way. The children performed a musical adaptation of Cendrillon (Cinderella).
The judges highly commended the children on their team work. They achieved awards in the Best Production and Best Musical categories and they were delighted at the result.
