LIVINGSTON singer Amy Hawthorn has clinched a place in the finals of a national talent competition.
The 19-year-old has reached the Live and Unsigned 2009 area final and is just one performance away from making the national finals.
And if Amy wins, she will bag herself a recording contract and single release.
Live and Unsigned is the UK’s national music competition for unsigned acts to compete live.
With over 10,000 registrations for the second year running, it is the biggest music talent search for original acts in the UK.
Amy, who is from Eliburn but now lives in Edinburgh, will compete amongst other talented hopefuls at the area final show, held at The Journal Tyne Theatre, Newcastle, on May 2 for a place in the National Grand final.
