Kia goes from strength to strength

RECORD sales have left Kia poised to drive into Britain's top-10 list of best-selling car brands.

The South Korean manufacturer delivered more than 5,000 models to customers during January - almost double the number it achieved in January last year - to boost its UK market share to 3.47 per cent.

But with 3,548 sales to private customers during the month, the company claimed 5.48 per cent of the retail market.

'This shows we are strengthening our position among retail buyers. The market will get a lot tougher once the scrappage scheme ends, but we are poised to build on our growing reputation as a provider of stylish, safe and thoroughly reliable products,' said Kia Motors UK managing director Michael Cole.
