Duo complete Bollan's buys

GARY BOLLAN has revealed the Lions have finished their transfer business for the summer after the capture of striker Rory Boulding and ex-Hibs keeper Andy McNeil this week.Boulding penned a one-year deal to add competition up front while McNeil was brought in this week after it emerged regular No1 Tony Bullock is going to have to go under the knife.Bollan said: “We’re finished now with bringing in new players but we have signed Andy McNeil until the end of the season because Tony needs an operation on his knee so Andy will compete with Darren Jamieson for the goalkeeping position.“We also signed Rory Boulding who I believe will be a great acquisition and gives us something we maybe haven’t had before.”A trio of emerging prospects came off the bench in the weekend’s cup romp and Bollan says that could be a feature of the season for the young Lions.“With the size of squad we’ve got at times the youngsters will play,” Bollan said. “It is important for us to blood the young players if possible. We had that luxury on Saturday when we were 4-0 up to bring a few of them on and give them a feel for it.“The only way they are going to get experience or improve is by playing in the first-team.“It was a great start to the season and to score five goals in any game is always decent.“The first-half was a bit of a non-event from our point of view but the way we approached the second-half they did themselves proud.“The players were disappointed with themselves at half-time and after a few quite words they went out and put things to bed early which made it easier for them.“Once we got going we stretched them and caused them some real problems.”The Second Round draw has pitted Livingston against Stirling Albion and with home advantage Livi will be favourites.Bollan continued: “You always look for a home draw in the cup but Stirling Albion will come here and fancy their chances as well but its up to us to deal with that.“We are looking for a decent cup run this season as the Challenge Cup is probably the most realistic chance of silverware for clubs in the SFL outwith their own league championships.“We’ll be going out to do as well as we can and go as far as we can too.”
