Boys arrested over fire death

Three youths were arrested in connection with a fire in which a mother died.

Angela Brown, 31, died while trying to rescue three of her children from the blaze at their home in Kilwinning, Ayrshire.

Strathclyde Police said three teenage boys, one aged 13 and two 15-year-olds, were arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning. They are expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday.
