Labour row over 'missing' email

Scotland's top civil servant has been caught up in a political row over who received a Government email.

Labour complained their MSPs in Fife were not notified in advance of an event in Dunfermline where education secretary Fiona Hyslop announced that more children are to get free school meals.

When the Government later insisted that an email notification was sent out - and produced copies - Labour insisted its MSPs had not received it.
