17,000 take to streets for marathon
A record 17,000 entrants are expected to take part in Edinburgh Marathon on one of the warmest weekends of the year.
Temperatures are expected to have reached 15C by time the race gets under way at 9am and will hit 19C by 1pm.
About 13,000 of the participants will compete the whole course, while the rest take part in relay teams.
