Councils reduce education spending
Spending on education has dropped at four Scottish councils in the past year, new figures reveal.
Estimates for 2009-10 showed Glasgow City Council has cut £6.8 million, while Aberdeenshire, Renfrewshire and Midlothian have also reduced spending.
The SNP said overall budgets had "dramatically increased" by about £366 million since coming to power two years ago.
