Recession pace easing - business

The pace of recession is starting to ease, according to a survey of business leaders published today.

But signs of a recovery are still "some time away", the Scottish Chambers of Commerce latest quarterly survey found.

The manufacturing, construction and retail sectors all largely report a drop in confidence over the year, with employment down across the board.
