Civil courts review plans published

Major changes to the civil justice system are expected to be proposed by Scotland's second most senior judge.

The Lord Justice Clerk, Lord Gill, who led a review of the civil courts, is expected to put forward the most radical changes to the system in a generation.

He was appointed in early 2007 by the then Scottish Executive to conduct the review.
