Figures show more children at risk

The number of youngsters being placed on child protection registers has increased by almost a third, new figures showed.

And the Scottish Government statistics showed growing public concerns about children's welfare.

Children's Minister Adam Ingram welcomed the rise in people reporting their worries - part of a "general upward trend" in recent years.
