Journalist to face Holyrood panel

BBC journalist Robert Peston is appearing before MSPs as part of an inquiry into the future of the financial sector.

The corporation's business editor was at the centre of reporting on the economic crisis in the UK last year and in 2007.

Former Tory leader Michael Howard even wrote to the Financial Services Authority and Chancellor Alistair Darling last year calling on them to investigate Mr Peston's reports as they might have prompted stock market prices to fall.
