Control centre staff to relocate
An air traffic control centre is to close in 2010, with 180 staff moving to Scotland, the National Air Traffic Services (Nats) has said.
Plans to close Manchester's 35-year-old air traffic centre have been in the pipeline for 10 years.
The news means only a skeleton staff will remain in the control tower at Manchester Airport.
