'Half-baked' climate deal condemned

The climate deal struck in Copenhagen has been branded "half-baked" and "the weakest possible conclusion" by leading Scottish environmentalists.

Friends of the Earth Scotland said the accord reached in the Danish capital was confusing and risked condemning millions around the world to hunger and suffering as a result of climate change.

And WWF Scotland said "half hearted" pledges were not enough to tackle the impact of global warming.
