Education in Scotland is under "very real threat" with schools and colleges already struggling to cope in wake of "severe cuts", union chiefs have said.
Leaders of the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS) have been compiling accounts from teachers and lecturers of the impact they say cuts are having.
With public spending under ever increasing pressure, union general secretary Ronnie Smith said: "There is nothing left to trim without cutting deep into the very core of Scottish education, with serious consequences for the educational experience of our young people."
