Tributes to 'bright' Afghan hero

Mourners will pay tribute to one of the army's "brightest stars" who was killed in Afghanistan.

Corporal Johnathan Moore, of The Royal Scots Borderers, 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland (1 SCOTS), died as a result of an explosion near Sangin, Helmand Province on February 7.

The military funeral of Cpl Moore will take place at Cadzow Parish Church in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, and he will then be laid to rest at the town's West Cemetery.
