£20,000 bill for hypnotist slammed

Skills bosses have spent £20,000 to bring in TV hypnotist Paul McKenna to give a "pep talk" to jobless youngsters, Labour leader Iain Gray said.

Mr Gray said Skills Development Scotland - which was set up by the Scottish Government - had paid the money for the famous hypnotist to give a talk to 260 young unemployed people on Friday.

He challenged Alex Salmond on the issue at First Minister's Questions in the Scottish Parliament.
