Murphy slams SNP oil 'exaggeration'

The Scottish Government has been accused of "extraordinary exaggeration" over the value of North Sea oil to the economy.

It accounts for only 1.5-2.5% of revenues to the UK Treasury, according to Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy.

He claimed Nationalists have attempted to "misinterpret and misrepresent" Scotland`s stand-alone economic position in a letter to Finance Secretary John Swinney.
