Salmond BBC election debate warning

The First Minister has said the BBC was in danger of alienating itself for failing to include the leaders of devolved nations in televised election debates.

Alex Salmond questioned whether the BBC was the "British Broadcasting Corporation or the English Broadcasting Corporation".

He urged the broadcaster to "think again" about their role and accused them of breaching their moral responsibility to viewers.
