Father killed in bike crash named

A father killed in a motorbike crash has been named by police.

Neville Thomson, 35, died when his bike was involved in a collision with a car near his home village of Newmachar, near Aberdeen.

He was pronounced dead at the scene on the A947 Aberdeen to Banff Road, following the crash at 3.15pm yesterday. Two people in the Volkswagen car were unhurt.
