The owner of a care home where 14 elderly residents died in a blaze has said he is "disappointed in himself" over fire safety breaches that took place during construction.
Thomas Balmer said he had been "let down" by a team of electricians he hired to install fire safety measures, including fire dampeners in the home's ventilation system, when he custom built the Rosepark care home.
A Fatal Accident Inquiry (FAI) has previously heard how the dampeners, which could have stopped the spread of the fire through the ventilation shafts, were found to be missing in the aftermath of the tragedy.
