Children pass healthy teeth target

The number of 11-year-old children in Scotland with healthy teeth has risen beyond an official target, according to a dental survey.

The study of P7 pupils showed an average 63.6% showed no sign of "obvious decay" to their permanent teeth in 2009.

This continues an upward trend from 59.1% in 2007 and breaks through the SNP's 60% target for 2010.
