'House sales rising despite pause'

The volume of house sales in Scotland has increased despite a "pause" in market recovery, a survey has suggested.

Purchases grew by one-fifth over May, June and July compared to the same quarter last year, the Lloyds TSB Scotland house price monitor showed.

A similar increase was recorded compared to the first three months of this year. But during that time, the average house price fell by 2.9%.
