Parties 'making stupid promises'

Independent candidate Margo MacDonald has launched her election campaign while attacking the "stupid" promises made by the main political parties.

The Lothians candidate is pledging to resurrect her End of Life Assistance Bill and called for a commission on Edinburgh schools before an anticipated influx of former private school pupils.

She also said the other parties' sums to fund their own promises do not add up.
