Bodyboard trio rescued from sea

A young boy and two men have been rescued after they got into difficulty while bodyboarding in the North Sea.

The group could not get back to shore because conditions were too choppy with 5-6ft breakers, said Forth Coastguard.

Onlookers dialled 999 at around 7.45pm on Saturday after spotting the trio in trouble around 200 yards offshore from Peffer Sands, near North Berwick, East Lothian.
