Elderly man rescued from harbour

An elderly man is being treated in hospital after being pulled from the water at a harbour.

The man, believed to be in his early 70s, was spotted by a crewman on board the Crystal Tide vessel, which was coming in to dock at Arbroath Harbour.

Forth Coastguard said they were called shortly before midnight and sent an inshore lifeboat to the man's aid.
