Sports 'should be there for all'

Everyone should have "quality sports amenities" in their local area, First Minister Alex Salmond has said.

The Scottish Government has announced a multimillion-pound fund aimed at improving sports opportunities and increasing the number of people doing physical activity.

Communities will get a share of £4 million to help pay for equipment and facilities upgrades, such as improving sports halls, pitches, tennis courts and changing rooms.
