EU is real culprit on office closures

CHERYL Woodstock is wasting her time writing to Jim Devine or any other MP hoping to save her post office.

The ‘consultations’ are just a sham. Hers and thousands more are going to close due to EU Directive 97/67/EC which requires the Royal Mail to be completely privatised. John Major at Maastricht, Tony Blair at Nice and Gordon Brown at Lisbon have given more and more control of our country to un-elected Brussels bureaucrats. The closure of West Lothian’s abattoirs, the ban on smoking in public buildings, the endless health and safety impediments to freedom and prosperity, the reduction in rubbish collection services, all originated in Brussels.

We in the United Kingdom Independence Party have been warning of all this for years but few in Scotland have listened. Any Independence from Westminster will make little difference when Brussels and Strasbourg pull the strings.
