Post box wrapped up like present

THERE was much confusion in Edinburgh today when a postbox was discovered to have been wrapped in paper, topped with a big red bow.

A spokesperson for Royal Mail suggested the incident could have been an elaborate prank, or a "romantic gesture".

The wrapping was soon removed and the contents of the postbox were discovered to be okay.
