Soggy moggy survives spin cycle in washing machine

A cat owner was astounded when his soggy moggy emerged from a 30 minute spin cycle in his washing machine.

Kimba, a four-month-old persian kitten climbed into the machine without her owner noticing, and the dirty clothes along with the cat were put on a cold spin cycle for 30 minutes.

Luckily, Kimba survived her ordeal and was taken to the vets where she was treated for shock and hypothermia.

Relieved that his cat survived, Kimba's owner, Lindsay Rodgers said: "When I opened the door, it just went "meow" and stuck its head out. I couldn’t believe it - the spin cycle at the end goes really fast and I couldn’t believe it survived."

He added: 'It is just amazing that she survived but we reckon she’s used all of her nine lives."
