Free family fun day at park will provide something for all

THE Howden Park Centre in Livingston is holding a free family fun day this Sunday (June 21).

Everyone is invited to join in the fun from 10am until 5pm.

To celebrate the opening of the stunning new facility there will be dozens of free activities in the centre and the park.

Families will be entertained by events including a kite festival with a teddy parachute drop (bring your own teddy), live bands, giant inflatables and kangaroo boxing, breakdancing, African drumming, photography and more.

Sunday is also Father’s Day and Midsummer Day so why not gather up your family and friends and head for Howden for a day of fun and a chance to see West Lothian's fantastic new arts venue in action?

There is something for everyone from morning music workshops for babies through afternoon breakdancing in the theatre, from all day painting and photography for families to rock music in the afternoon.

Food and drinks — meals and snacks — will be served all day in the centre's Muse Bistro.

All children should bring an adult. Dogs are welcome but they have to be kept on a lead.

Other than blue badge holders there will be no parking in the park area. Free parking is available at St Margaret's Academy and West Lothian Indoor Bowling Club, on Howden South Road.

All facilities in Howden Park Centre are fully accessible.

Family Fun Day has support from Howden Community Council and The Centre, Livingston.
