£100,000 of cables are stolen

POLICE are appealing for help to trace thieves who have been targeting a Livingston industrial estate.

The former Tesco distribution building at Royston Road, Dean Industrial Estate, Livingston, has been raided several times in recent months resulting in the theft of around £100,000 of cables.

Officers say the cable is quite distinctive, being around 200mm in diameter with armored sheaving with four cores made up of multiple copper strands.

To date thieves have stolen approx 100 metres.
