THE people of West Lothian are being urged to support a campaign to help ex-Service men and women.
The call comes ahead of Erskine Week which raises much-needed funds for veterans.
Every year Erskine cares for over 1370 veterans of all ages and Erskine Week which runs from June 1-8 allows supporters of all ages and walks of life to do something fun at the same time as raising money to help pay for the high standard of care the charity provides.
Among the organised events which raise funds for the group is the Erskine Bridge walk on June 1.
It is easy to request a pack that includes everything you need from posters to a money box.
Joe Parker (83), an RAF veteran who is helped by the charity, is encouraging all West Lothian people to get involved in Erskine Week.
He said: “I came here last November and I love it. The atmosphere, the consideration, the care, the staff – everything is first class. There are so many old soldiers in the position I have been in before, coming here and the amount care Erskine can provide. Please get behind Erskine Week and let this continue.”
