Parents of brave toddler Lori pay a big tribute as £14,000 is raised for charity

A FAULDHOUSE family want to thank relatives and friends who helped raise £14,000 for charity in memory of their daughter.

Last week the Courier told how little Lori Callaghan sadly passed away in June aged just six after losing her brave battle against a brain tumour.

A football match and charity evening held in her honour recently raised a staggering £14,000 for charities that were close to her heart.

And Lori’s parents Lorraine and John said they wanted to thank everyone involved for their wonderful work.

Lorraine said: “We held raffles and auctions of signed footballs and strips. People were so generous and we got money handed in from local businesses and donations from people off the street.

“Lori’s cousin Andy Muir, who got to the final of Britain’s Got Talent, travelled up from London where he is recording to sing at the event in Fauldhouse Miners Welfare which was lovely.

“On behalf of the family and friends of Lori I would like to thank everyone who donated, helped and attended the charity day.

“We had a huge response from both communities, it really was overwhelming.”
