West Lothian police appeal after spate of thefts in area

POLICE are calling for witnesses to come forward after a spate of crime incidents in West Lothian.

Vandals set fire to a dustbin in Livingston recently. Between 2.45am and 3.15am on Thursday, September 27, a bin was set alight in Pinebank.

The lit wheelie bin caused extensive damage to two parked vehicles before the fire was extinguished by Lothian Fire and Rescue Services.

Electronic equipment was among the haul stolen from a house in Livingston.

Sometime between 3pm on Sunday and 8.30am on Monday, the house in Whinbank, Ladywell, was broken into.

Among the items taken were an Xbox, PSP, Nintendo DS and a quantity of jewellery.

A motorbike was stolen by thieves from outside a house in Whitburn.

Between 9.30pm on Sunday and 8.15am on Monday, a green coloured Moto Roma MRX 125B motor cycle, worth £550, was taken from a driveway in Murraysgate Crescent, Whitburn.
