West Lothian students rally round to stage series of events to back breast cancer awareness

AS part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, West Lothian College’s department of image, beauty and fitness will be holding a series of events to raise money for St John’s Hospital’s Breast Cancer Support Group.

This will be the third year students are raising cash by running a charity nail bar offering new hair styles and taking part in a treadmill marathon.

Beauty therapy students will be offering members of the public manicures and pedicures today (Thursday), from 9.30am until 7pm.

Fitness students will also be taking part in a gruelling treadmill marathon in the sports hall on the same day from 10am.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and all donations are welcome.

Claire Glen, head of the image, beauty and fitness de partment at West Lothian College, said: “It is really important that we help raise as much money as we can.

“For the third year in a row students will volunteer their services in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and hopefully raise even more than previous years.”
