Police appealing for witnesses after series of thefts in county

POLICE are appealing for help to trace criminals who carried out a series of thefts.

The first target for the crooks was a car which was stolen from Linlithgow. Between 10.30pm on Monday, October 13, and 8.30am the following day, a blue Honda CRV car was stolen from a driveway in Listloaning Road.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information on it should contact Linlithgow Police Station on 01506 843235.

Between 10pm on Tuesday, October 14, and 7am on Wednesday, a silver Skoda Elegance car was stolen from Academy Street, Bathgate.

Witnesses to the incident should contact Bathgate Police Station on 01506 652323.

Fuel thieves broke into a business yard in Kirknewton last Wednesday. Sometime between 6pm on Tuesday, October 14, and 6.45am the next day, the premises at Camps Industrial Estate, Kirknewton, was broken into.

Thieves escaped with 200 litres of diesel and four saws.
