BUSINESS is booming at a busy Bathgate brothel.

A Courier investigation uncovered sex is for sale in the town in a flat run by a woman calling herself Bathgate Babe.

She openly advertises her “services” in down market tabloids.

An undercover Courier reporter was offered oral and full-sex by a prostitute claiming to come from Hong Kong.

Our man called a mobile phone number which was advertised in the Sunday Sport newspaper after a tip-off from a concerned reader.

A woman with a strong oriental accent answered and confirmed she was Bathgate Babe. She told our man she had “lovely ladies from Hong Kong”. She described one prostitute as five foot three inches, aged 23, with long dark hair and gave her measurements.

When our man asked what was on offer she said they charged £60 for a half-hour session which included “massage, oral and sex”.

Bathgate Babe asked what time our reporter wanted to visit and said she would “book” one of the girls.

Our reporter was told to go to the corner of Muir Road and Glasgow Road and to call back for further directions to her flat.

When he called back from the street he was given instructions on how to find the flat, which was just a couple of hundred yards away.

He had to go to the back of the property and climb steps up to the flat.

However, our man was greeted at the door by a balding oriental man who appeared to be in his late 40s.

He said there were girls inside and invited the reporter in, but our man made his excuses and left.

It is believed the brothel has been operating for several weeks and a steady stream of seedy men have been seen visiting the flat day and night.

The Courier has passed on Bathgate Babe’s telephone number and address to Lothian and Borders Police.
