Police appealing for support after spate of robberies hit the county

POLICE are appealing for information after a spate of thefts and break-ins throughout the West Lothian area.

In the first incident, between 5pm on Wednesday, June 17, and 8am the next day, a red Iveco pick up was broken into while it was parked in Glen Road, Deans, Livingston.

During the theft, CDs and a fuel card were stolen and crooks also tried to steal the stereo.

Anyone with information on the theft should contact Livingston Police Station on 01506 431200, or contact Crimestoppers in confidence and complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.

Between 11 and 11.45pm last Thursday, June 18, criminals tried to force entry to the professional shop and West Lothian Golf Club, Linlithgow.

However, they didn’t mange to get inside the building and nothing was stolen.

Garden equipment was stolen when a garden shed was broken into.

Between 6pm and 10pm on Saturday (June 20), the hut was broken into at Loch Maree Way, Whitburn, when two mini motos and a petrol strimmer have been stolen.

A pub in Armadale was broken into last weekend and a four figure sum of cash was stolen.

Between 2am and noon on Sunday (June 21) the Cross Bar, Armadale, was broken into and around £1500 in cash and the till were stolen.
